2507 Super Duplex Tubing
Super Duplex is a Duplex stainless steel, developed as a result of the outgrowth of an effort to solve corrosion problems in Sweden's sulfite paper industry in the early twentieth century. As the name implies, Duplex alloys are a group of stainless steels - including Duplex, Lean Duplex, 25-Chrome and Super Duplex - with roughly equal portions of austenite and ferrite steel. The chemical composition improves intergranular and pitting corrosion resistance.
Super Duplex tubing (2507, S32750, S32760) possesses excellent general corrosion resistance, including excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, a tremendous resistance to pitting corrosion and a high resistance to crevice corrosion. Super Duplex tubing also provides high tensile and impact strength, along with a low coefficient of thermal expansion but high thermal conductivity and good weldability.
Alloy Metals and Tubes International supplies Super Duplex tubing, and it is often preferred in demanding applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance combined with excellent strength qualities, particularly in the offshore oil patch and in petrochemical plants. Alloy Metals and Tubes International sources Super Duplex tubing from high-quality, reputable mills. Contact us! We want to be your supplier of Super Duplex tubing!
