Super Duplex 2507 is a Duplex stainless steel, developed as a result of the outgrowth of an effort to solve corrosion problems in Sweden’s sulfite paper industry in the early twentieth century. As the name implies, Duplex alloys are a group of stainless steels – including Duplex, Lean Duplex, 25-Chrome and Super Duplex – with roughly equal portions of austenite and ferrite steel. The chemical composition improves intergranular and pitting corrosion resistance.
Super Duplex 2507 tubing (S32750, S32760) possesses excellent general corrosion resistance, including excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, a tremendous resistance to pitting corrosion and a high resistance to crevice corrosion. Super Duplex 2507 tubing also provides high tensile and impact strength, along with a low coefficient of thermal expansion but high thermal conductivity and good weldability.
Alloy Metals and Tubes International supplies Super Duplex 2507 tubing, and it is often preferred in demanding applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance combined with excellent strength qualities, particularly in the offshore oil patch and in petrochemical plants. Alloy Metals and Tubes International stocks Super Duplex 2507 tubing from high-quality, reputable mills.
Alloy Metals and Tubes International, stocking and supplying Super Duplex 2507 tubing to meet the diverse needs of customers in varied markets and applications, seeks to be your preferred quality supplier of Super Duplex 2507 tubing. Contact us, or send us a request for a quote today.
